Lakatamia Municipality, in cooperation with Running in Cyprus, are organizing for the 1st year the charity race “Lakatamia Energy Run”. The charity race will take place on Sunday, 13th of October 2019. The running event comprises of a 5km and 10km races, starting at 9:15 a.m., and a 1km under 12yo children’s race, starting at 8:45 a.m. The start and finish area of the race will be at Charalambou Mouskou Street (Town Hall Street), in front of the restaurant located in Agiou Georgiou Lakatamia’s Park (Amphitheater’s outdoor area).
All the participants will receive a t-shirt and all the finishers will receive a commemorative medal. Trophies will be awarded to the three first runners of each age group (men and women). Race numbers and goody bags can be collected at the organizers’ office, which will be located at the Municipal Exhibition Hall (Art Gallery).
The award ceremony will take place at Agiou Georgiou Park. Before the ceremony, there will be an entertaining program with music and dancing crews.
The organizers are aiming to encourage the mass participation of runners, walkers and children by preparing a well-organized race, where participants will have fun and also contribute to a greater cause, since part of the proceeds will be given for a charitable purpose.
